Description
Are you struggling to progress with weight lifting, or perhaps you've seen others lifting in the gym and don't feel confident to try it?
Clients often tell me it can be intimidating and confusing to know how to start weightlifting - what to do, how much weight, how many reps and for how long. It can feel dispiriting to not know if you are doing it right or to feel unconfident in your results.
This course is for complete beginners through to intermediate who want to learn optimal technique for deadlifts, bench-press and squats, and understand the path to progression as you become stronger and more competent in your weight lifting.
Your coach, Kate, will take you through a comprehensive course that covers..
- Education on perfect technique to keep you injury-free.
- How to gauge the right intensity to deliver maximum power in your lift.
- How to structure your weightlifting to ensure you progress quickly and feel your strength improve.
- Learn how to work on the muscular imbalances and weaknesses that hold back your potential.
- Utilising training systems to push through plateaus and sticking points.
- How to set your benchmarks to understand where you are at currently and how you should be training.
- Building a friendly and supportive community in the gym as you work in a small group.
- By the end of the four weeks you will feel physically and mentally confident to lift weights in any gym.
Requirements
To get the most out of the course, you will need to be injury-free and able to place a barbell on your back. I ask that you commit to two separate workouts a week in the gym with a programme I set for you. It will take around an hour to complete.
If you don't have access to a gym, you are welcome and encouraged to book in a time to use New Energy Fitness at no additional charge.
If you are unsure if you meet this criteria, please do get in touch, I would be happy to advise.
