I am a firm believer in fitness being fun. Finding joy in exercise helps to create long term change and instil healthy habits. Now that’s not to say that it should be easy, but finding enjoyment in challenge, and helping individuals discover their drive and determination, is something that I very much bring to all of my training sessions.
My background is in competitive rowing. Following this I have always loved to swim, cycle and run. For the past ten years I have had a regular yoga practice and love to bring my yoga teaching to my fitness classes. I also draw upon the core stability and precision of pilates to promote alignment and strength in movement.
I want my clients to have fun and feel a sense of achievement in my sessions. I am a force of positivity and I love to share that ‘can do’ attitude with those around me. I believe in the use of modifications, props and assistance to meet clients where they are. Everyone is an individual, with individual needs, as such there is no homogenous approach to exercise. Instead a personalised approach and taking the time to get to know you as an individual helps me to meet you as you are, and in doing so together we can then forge real change and progress.
